Our Aim

My Foster Family was initially set up to ensure that the most disadvantaged children in our society get the best start in life, and free their potential.

We act as a recruitment organisation and support local authorities and fostering agencies in order to ensure optimum cultural and identity alignment during the vetting process.

We recognise the importance of nurturing a child’s sense of identity, and in order to do this, their cultural and religious practices need to be respected in any home they are placed in. Since we are a children and family centred organisation, everything we do and work for is to help foster carers, children and young people.

Vision

Is to see every child who comes into care secure a loving and nurturing home that meets their needs, strengthens their identity and supports them into adult life.

Mission

Is to raise awareness and support the recruitment and retention of diverse foster carers and adopters, to promote a positive sense of identity, to facilitate sector development and influence policy to achieve better outcomes for care-experienced people.

Values

Believe that whatever our differences, everyone should be treated with the same respect. We are committed to building a loving, nurturing home with respect and within a well connected and supported safer community, We will always go out of our way to do the right thing with the best interest of the child at heart.

"The Muslim Foster Network event in Bradford was a wonderful celebration of the contribution of Bradford's Muslim community to fostering. All faiths were welcome and it was a privilege to share the Iftar. I urge London carers & those in Lond considering fostering to attend"

"We are really loving these @MuslimFostering Network clips with Shiekh Sajid Umar. Super informative for any practicing Muslims and for me personally very interesting as a non-Muslim to learn more about the faith. This along with the recent @pennyappeal info has been brilliant."
